Scott Ballum is a Senior Designer at C&G Partners in New York City, a design firm specializing in strategic and creative work for media, the arts and public spaces. The firm offers a range of design disciplines including identity and graphic design, signage and exhibit works, and interactive media on- and off-line. Scott has created identity programs for Signature Theatre Company and the Alhurra Television Network, as well as the design of ongoing exhibitions and the upcoming 87th Annual for the Art Directors Club.

Scott has received awards from the ADC, GD USA, and the School of Visual Arts, while his work has been featured in LINO Magazine (Australia), Resurgence (UK), Adbusters, STEP Inside Design, and in Art Directors Club Annuals 83 and 84. He was an invited speaker at the 2004 International Design Masters Forum in Shanghai, and has served as juror and curator for School of Visual Arts exhibitions. Scott was featured in a film focusing on up-and-coming designers created for the 2005 AIGA National Design Conference, and is a featured alumnus on SVA's website. In January 2008, GD USA Magazine included Scott in their annual "People to Watch" issue.

Before joining C&G Partners, Scott was engaged independently under the moniker Sheepless, working primarily with fellow artists, non-profit organizations, and New York-area businesses, including the Art Directors Club of New York, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston, and The Parrish Art Museum in Southhampton, NY. In February 2006, Scott was named Design Director of Housing Works, the nation's largest community-based AIDS service organization and a leader in social enterprise. Scott is also the creator of consume®evolution Magazine, dedicated to exposing growing complacency with globalization and consumerism and offering viable alternatives to a "mass-produced" lifestyle. His recent endeavor, the Consume®econnection Project, has received internatonal press since its inception and continues to evolve.

Sheepless continues as an on-going experiment in conscientious design- and decision-making. Scott lives in Brooklyn, NY.
